Bring Your Own Files

Our storefront is a fraction of what we can print. If you already own a file we don't have listed, send it to us and we will print, clean, and ship it the same way we handle everything else in the store.

How it works

  1. Email the file to contact@covetedforge.com as an attachment, or send a link (Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer, MyMiniFactory, or the designer's release post).
  2. Tell us the scale, how many of each part you want, and whether you want resin or PLA.
  3. We open the file, check it prints cleanly, and reply with a quote.
  4. Approve the quote and we send you a checkout link. From there it is a normal order: printed to order, cleaned, cured, and shipped.

What to send

Detail What we need
The file STL, OBJ, or 3MF. Supported or unsupported both work, we support and slice in house.
Scale A figure height in mm, a ratio, or a model to match. See our Scale Guide.
Quantity How many of each part or pose.
Material Fine detail resin by default. PLA for large terrain and buildings.
Notes Which parts of a multi-part kit you want, options to skip, anything you want cut or left off.

Pricing

Custom files are quoted rather than fixed price, and we price them the same way we price the store: on the work involved, print time, resin used, supports and cleanup. A custom job lands close to what a comparable listed model costs. There is no file fee, and quoting is free. Printing a unit or an army from your own files? Ask about bulk rates when you send it.

Very large models may need to be split to fit the printer. We will tell you in the quote if that applies.

Licensing and rights

Every model listed on our storefront is either licensed to us by its designer for commercial printing, or designed in house by us. That coverage does not extend to a file you send us, so we ask you to confirm two things first:

  • You obtained the file legitimately, from the designer or an authorized store.
  • Its license allows a print service to produce it on your behalf, for your own use.

Your file is used for your order and nothing else. We do not list it, resell it, or print it for anyone else, and we delete it once your order ships unless you ask us to keep it on file for reprints.

We cannot print files that have been ripped, recast, or shared without the designer's permission, and we cannot print anything that infringes a trademark. If you are unsure where a file stands, send the link and we will take a look.
